You’d know it is a good collection if it will make you dream.
Which season was dreamier – fall, summer or spring? It may be an era gone by but we have witnessed already the rebirth of a 70s comeback. Take a lead from What A Girl Wants’ creative styling on their newest collection at the start of the year, Homegrown.
“Our homegrown collection is inspired by the scent of fresh flowers in Spring,” says Jackkaye Uy, Marketing Head What A Girl Wants. “It takes us back to our childhood days when afternoons are spent outdoors in the garden.”
The looks combine 1970’s shabby chic-crochets with florals and nudes as their key elements. It is the perfect reflection of the old ’70s glamour and bohemian aesthetics – muted palettes and longer proportions. There is a distinct fusion of almost sheer dresses with a series of showings suited to those with a penchant for the neutral palette. Perhaps now is the perfect time to mix florals with other florals as print recently is in favor with women and men this Spring.
Due to the multidimensional lifestyle we all are now used to, What A Girl Wants addresses the need for fashionable clothing that requires minimal investment yet with the right amount of drama.
